THOMAS L. TREPPA

Mr. Treppa concentrates his practice in the areas of Real Property Law and Municipal Law with the firm's Real Estate Practice Group. His emphasis is on acquisitions, leasing, financing, development, zoning and other real estate related matters.

Experience:

Prior to joining Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, Tom was general counsel for several municipalities and school districts, including Macomb Township and the City of Mount Clemens. His extensive previous experience with municipal bodies and staff provides him considerable insight into how best to deal with governmental units to attain the desired results for the client. Tom represents both sellers and purchasers with respect to the sale or acquisition of commercial, industrial and residential properties. He has extensive experience representing landlords as well as tenants in the review and negotiation of retail, office and industrial leases, including ground leases. Tom assists clients in the financing of acquisitions through his review and negotiation of commercial loan documents. He has considerable experience in the preparation of easements, covenants and restrictions and in the review and negotiation of construction contracts.

Tom is a member of the Macomb County Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan (Member, Section: Real Property).
